SensoriumC Onboard
SensoriumC is an onboard captains decision support system. It analysis and monitors the container stacks before, during and after every voyage.
- Pre-voyage, the system checks incoming BAPLIE/EDI files against the Cargo Securing Manual (CSM) and the class rules. It also provides insight in the placing of dangerous goods (DG) and reefer containers, the stack weight and the loading and discharge ports.
- While sailing, the forces in the containers stacks are monitored and shown in a three-dimensional view to the crew. This included the corner post compression forces, the container racking forces as well as the lashing tension and forces on the twistlocks. This way the system provides a view on the container stacks 24/7 day and night.
- post-sailing, the systems log is used for reporting and hind-cast analysis. The standard reporting includes maps that show where in the voyage the maximum loads in the stacks were reached such that the crew can learn and relate the maximum forces to the weather conditions. The detailed data in the log of the system can be used to reprocess the whole journey and we can analyze the forces that acted in the container stacks, lashing and twistlocks. This way it is a valuable tool to investigate (near) misses and probable causes of incidents.
SensoriumC API
SensoriumC API is GBMS’ back-end for third party software. This online interface provides the fastest one-stop way to check a BAPLIE/EDI file against the lashing calculations of at least seven different class society. At present, the class lashing rules of LR, BV, DNV, GL, KR, ClassNK and CCS are included. Any other class rule can be added on request.
- Full three dimensional calculation of the class rules of containers on and below deck.
- Including open holds.
- One standardize API for all implemented class lashing rules
- Detailed feed back on the limiting factors in the proposed stacking of a container ship.
SensoriumC Office
The SensoriumC Office application is an online application that is used to assist ships, analyze historic data and compare class-rules.
- Option to support ships in decision making on deteriorated, missing or broken equipment. (Does a missing twislock or broken lashing affect the safety of the cargo?)
- Comparison of ship-designs against different sets of class rules.
- Analysis of historical onboard recorded data.
How it works
System Setup
The ships layout is checked and uploaded to the system.
For the onboard system, one or more sensors and a server computer is installed on the ship and connected to the ships network.
While sailing
Data from the sensors is processed and shown to the crew in real time.
Data is stored for reporting, office use and hind-cast analysis.
At port
Pre-stowage BAPLIE files are loaded and checked.
Final BAPLIE is selected for monitoring.
